Scholarships

Introduction:

In 2006, Redding Sunrise Rotary began awarding scholarships to graduating high school
students of the Gateway Unified School District. A scholarship fund was created through the
efforts of Sunrise Rotary members in a cooperative effort with other individuals and groups.
Redding Sunrise Rotary continues to endow the scholarship fund through various efforts.
Selected students will reflect hard work through their academic records, work history, and
dedication to their community. The number of scholarships awarded will vary in any given year
depending on numerous factors. This year two(2) scholarships are being offered.

Who is Eligible:
Only students who are graduating from the Gateway Unified School District will be considered.
All students who plan on furthering their education through a four year university or college, a
two year college, vocational or technical training program may apply.

How do I apply:
Interested students must complete the attached Redding Sunrise Rotary Scholarship
Application and mail it along with a current transcript and current spring course schedule to
Michael B. Walsh at 3605 Bechelli Lane, Redding, CA 96002
Applications must be postmarked no later than Friday April 30, 2021. Applications
postmarked after April 30, 2021 will not be considered.
